Purring right along...

I just thought I'd give you an update.

Network Marketing is such a cool business. As Jim Rohn put it, I'm "working full-time making my living, while I work part-time making my fortune." This has absolutely been the best $500 investment I've ever made!

I go to work every day and get my paycheck which covers all my bills. Then evenings and weekends I show my business to people, and either they immediately grasp the potential of it or they don't. No sales, no pressure, I just have fun showing this to people and I get checks in the mail! Cool stuff!

I talk on the phone with the people underneath me and help them become successful, their checks grow and so do mine! My friend David took 2 months off in the Caribbean, and his annual income went UP by $10,000. He's my inspiration, so I have to go make my reservations for next summer!

Come see what I'm doing:

Looking Good...

Spent an hour showing the system to a gentleman in Georgia tonight. He has to discuss it with his wife, but it sounds promising. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Success Again...

After speaking with the owners of a Bed & Breakfast, they took a couple weeks to think it over from all angles, and signed up today as an Entrepreneur.

I love SendOutCards!

Another Success....

Well the original woman I spoke with back in January signed up today as an Entrepreneur! I'm getting better at my presentations apparently.

Success....

Well, I got up this morning and headed downtown to meet with a prospect. She told me she wants to use SOC at least for her own personal use, but would like it for her business also if she can convince her partners. I stopped in and she told me she hadn't gotten a chance to show them yet, so I left.

I went out and sat in the car, and I decided I should walk into the Real Estate agencies nearby. I sat there for 15 minutes procrastinating, as I'm normally a shy person. Finally I told myself, "Your life is never going to change unless you step out of your comfort zone." So I did!

I walked into the first business and gave the man my business card and some literature. He told me he'd look at it so I left depressed. I walked into the next one, introduced myself, and a lady came out of the back room waving the DVD I had sent her earlier saying, "Did you send me this? I love this thing!"

After discussing SOC for about 20 minutes and giving them a walkthrough, they signed up on the spot for the top "Entrepreneur" package. So not only are they going to use it for their Real Estate business, but they are going to sell SOC as well.

That was a quick $120.00!!

Tips for Businesses...

I thought I'd post a few things that I've learned for gaining more business.

First, you need to follow up with your customers. After they've made their purchase, you need to stay in touch. Statistics say that for every month you are not in contact with them, you lose 10% of your influence. So after 10 months, it's like you never did business with them at all, and they could easily go somewhere else next time.

Did you know it costs 6-7 times more money to gain a new customer than to keep an existing one? I've been trying to explain this to the businesses I visit and most understand, but there's a couple who just don't get it.

Anyway, here's what I've been telling them to do:

1.) After a purchase, send them a Thank You card a week later.

2.) Get a coffee pot, set it up where the customers can serve themselves, and about a month after purchase, send them a card inviting them to come in, grab a free coffee, and just chat. During this chat, learn as much as you can about them, learn about their kids, etc. Make a FRIEND out of them!

3.) A month or so later, send a card to them saying business is good, but not great, and you'd really appreciate it if they know of anyone who could use your service, if they could refer them to you. Because of what you did above, you are not a business promoting itself, you are a friend asking for help!

4.) If they do refer someone to you, send them a card with a gift or a gift card inside, thanking them.

You've not only made a new friend, you now have a new salesman, someone who will refer old friends to their new friend.

The more I learn about the usefulness of SendOutCards, the more excited I get. I can't wait for others to get excited enough to become Distributors so we can talk about this stuff!

Anyway, off I go to change the world!

A New Year, A New Start...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We have a new Playstation 3, so didn't get much work done until after New Year's, I had to try out Call of Duty 4!

Anyway, I've decided to move out of my comfort zone and started going out Saturday mornings and visiting area businesses. I introduce myself, hand them a flyer and a business card, and tell them a little about the system. Some aren't interested, some are, but I know they are out there, I just have to find them.

The friend I showed the system to in December wants to sign up, but he can't decide as a customer or a distributor. Another kitchen design business wants it, but she has to discuss it with her partners. She wants it for personal use if nothing else. I need to get back with her this week.

I just found out about an RV show this weekend, so I think I'll go check them out, and check out the salesmen as well and see if they are properly following up with their leads. If not, I guess I'll have to help them!!

Take care!
